k.w.i.c. Bowl the World Fundraising Bowlathon

Thank you for participating in the 6th annual Bowl the World fundraising bowlathon in support of the Kawartha World Issue Centre’s (k.w.i.c.). All proceeds go directly to k.w.i.c.’s Global Education and Resource Centre, events and programmes in Peterborough and surrounding area.

Date and Location: Saturday, October 31st 2009 @ 1pm at the Lakeview Bowl, Market Plaza on George Street. This event is for all ages. Please arrive before 1pm to check-in and get your shoes!

How it works: Individual bowlers and “teams” of all ages are welcome to participate. Teams are made up six bowlers. Each team member or bowler solicits pledges and records them on the sponsor sheet. If you don’t have six team members, we can help to fill your team!

Suggested minimum pledge is $30/person; suggested $200.00 (6 players) per team. Charitable tax receipts will be issued for pledges of $20 or more. Please ensure participants print clearly and include a postal code to be issued a receipt.

Prizes: Fabulous prizes will be awarded during the bowlathon and for the highest fundraiser:

Prizes will be awarded for the ‘BEST’ Dressed Team ~ so ‘dress to bowl’ – but not too scary as this is a family-friendly event!

Registration: Your registration fee, bowling shoes and approximately 1.5 hours of bowling are included in the $30/person contribution. Turn in one registration form per team. If you are bowling individually, or with a smaller group just turn in a form and you will be placed on a team.
