The Festival is hosted by Transition Town Peterborough and community volunteers. Councillor Dean Pappas, an experienced 100 mile dieter is our Grand Marshall and will be challenging the community to eat local food from the date of the festival to the end of October.      

I Love local Food Club Card Economic incentive to purchase from vendors and restaurants after the festival until Oct 31.  The I Love Local Food Club Membership Card priced at $10 provides the economic incentive to buy local foods for an extended period from the date of the Festival to the end of October. To get you started The I Love Slow Food  Card  also gives you a slow, local, fair and good meal in the host tent on Festival Day ( Serving times are 12 noon, 1,  2, and 3 pm ).    The I Love Local Food Club Cards will be available first week in August at Sticklings Bistro, Green Eyewear, Green Street E Bikes, Rocky Ridge Drinking Water, Greenshire Eco Farms, Bear Essentials In Millbrook, Happen Stance Books & Yarns in Lakefield, KWIC at Trent University, Pappas Billiards, Black Honey  and by Market Street Vendors and Volunteers.
