This one hour interactive presentation and workshop uses puppets, song, dialogue and a working model of the Otonabee River. Participants will learn the natural significance of their local water system. The workshop has many curriculum links and provides various perspectives including historical information about the local watershed. Several learning styles are used to help reinforce key concepts. By the end of the workshop, participants realize that we are all integral to the health of our human and natural environment, and have a role to play. The presentation teaches of the natural, environmental and personal importance of our watershed. Through interactive participation, humour, masterful musicianship and a beautiful model of the watershed, there is something for everyone in Nogojiwanong Watershed Ed.! Workshops can be modified for specific age groups.
