Ecological Restoration Speaker Series (ERSS)
A series dedicated to the discussion and promotion of ecological restoration and related discourse!

Our second ERSS event will be occurring on Friday December 1st in the Gathering Space (ENW 102) from 5:00 PM till 6:00 PM. Our speaker will be Matt Mair, (Natural Infrastructure Technician at the Northumberland County Forest), who will be presenting a talk on The Ecological Restoration efforts ongoing at the NCF. - This large protected area (approx. 5500 acres), situated on the Oak Ridges Moraine between Rice Lake to the North and Lake Ontario to the South, contains rare ecosystems including Tallgrass Prairie, Oak Savanna/Woodland, and Sand Barrens. Matt will highlight the restoration in these ecosystems, including methodology which may be useful for current and upcoming practitioners in the restoration field.
