This year's International Women's Day theme is Embrace Equity in Nogojiwanong/ Peterborough and will be observed in two parts, the first being the rally. On Wednesday, March 8th (International Women's Day) we will be hosting a rally from noon-1 pm starting downtown at Peterborough Square Courtyard and will make our way down to Confederation Park, across from City Hall.
Please keep in mind that we will be walking on the sidewalks only and have not invited a police presence.
Once we reach City Hall, Town Ward City Councillor Joy Lachica will speak, along with local poet Emily Quarry who has agreed to do a short reading.
