A special gathering to celebrate Inwendaamin Oki (How we are related to the Land) and showcasing some contributions for our upcoming booklet dedicated to the Trent Lands and Waters.

The Opening Celebration will be on Wednesday, September 21, at 2 pm in the Bata Library, main foyer. We will lead with a sweet Water ceremony from Trent’s Lady Eaton Drumlin Maple Trees. Elder Dorothy Taylor and Shirley Williams, as well as local artist Jimson Bowler and Shawna Redskye will be in attendance and give us a brief but rich introduction to our efforts to protect this special place known as the Trent Lands and Waters.

Light fare and refreshments will be provided afterwards in the Cedar room (4th floor, Bata Library), with gratitude for the Seasoned Spoon and Trent Vegetable Gardens.

We will be showcasing some contributions for our upcoming booklet dedicated to the Trent Lands and Waters in the Bata Library display case between Sunday, September 18th to Saturday, September 24th.
