Come learn from Indigenous storytellers (First Peoples House of Learning, TrentU) as they speak their truths about colonization.
Tuesday, November 7, 6 - 8 pm, Online
This thought-provoking, online, participatory workshop is developed and led by Indigenous storytellers and facilitators from the First Peoples House of Learning at Trent University (Ontario). The workshop framework covers a timeline of colonization, starting with pre-contact. Throughout this timeline these talented storytellers speak their truths and personal stories relevant to the content.
During the narrative, they will also call on participants to read a numbered script that is distributed at the beginning of the workshop. Participants will add to the timeline at specific points in the workshop and will be invited to give a brief summary on the impact the script had on them.
