Peterborough Theatre Guild is hosting the Nogojiwanong Indigenous Fringe Festival

The 2025 Nogojiwanong Indigenous Fringe Festival is coming to the Guild, with multiple performances in the theatre from June 19 – 22, as well as a visual art display in the lobbies and weekend craft vendors in the studios. It’s going to be a busy place with activities for all ages and interests.

This year’s performers, chosen by lottery as is the Fringe tradition, are:

  • Juicebox Theatre  (Winnipeg) with their play, “Under the Table”

  • Centre for Indigenous Theatre (Toronto) with “Whistling Pine (A Dark Comedy)” by Chris Mejaki

  • John-Paul Chalykoff (Sault Ste. Marie) and his puppet friends with “Songs from Gichi-Gamiing”

  • Oshkagoojin Theatre Projects (Winnipeg) with “Niin Anihinaabekwe”

  • Indian Way Theatre (Akwesasne) with “My Good Friend Jay”

  • 3 Soul Goddess (Peterborough) with their drama “Postcards from Colonization”

  • Subi-Baba-Yi Dilalan (Cameroon) with “People of the Forest” (to be confirmed)
