Presentation by Right to Learn Afghanistan

The Peterborough community is invited to an Oct. 10 evening presentation about the work still being done to educate and support Afghan girls and women by Right to Learn Afghanistan (formerly Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan; CW4WAghan).
The Peterborough chapter is hosting Dr. Lauryn Oates, the organization’s executive director, who will be giving a first-hand account at St. John’s Anglican Church on Brock Street at 7 p.m. 
As well, there will be entertainment, refreshments and a silent auction.
Tickets are $25 for singles, $40 for couples, and $15 for unwaged, and are available at Happenstance Books & Yarns, 44 Queen St., Lakefield and Take Cover Books, 59 Hunter St. E., Peterborough. Cash only. Contact peterborough@righttolearn.ca for more information.
