KWIC Global Community Network
The KWIC Global Community Network is a virtual round table that gathers citizens, students, academics, and volunteers from diverse organizations and NGOs to engage in dialogue and build capacity in a coordinated effort to address world issues and international development.
Background
Peterborough and the Kawarthas have over 100 groups, organizations, school clubs and individuals carrying out global education and international development work in the community. With each focusing on a variety of issues and causes, KWIC hosts the round table to combine forces and ensure that our work has greater impact. Coordinating and planning efficiently amongst ourselves will help to achieve the SDG goals in Peterborough and beyond through our shared global networks.
Recent Round Tables have included:
Candid Conversations about COVID-19 and Viral Racism, September 2020
Global Solidarity and COVID-19 Concerns, May 2020
Federal Funding Priorities and Projects, February 2020
