Thank you to everyone who came out to mark this year's International Women's Day with us!

Planned in collaboration with Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre, YWCA Peterborough Haliburton, and Peterborough Public Library, our community event drew over 115 members of the community.

The event began with musical performances from Missy Knott, Sarah VDB and the Raging GranniesNaandewegaan also led us off with drumming to begin our programming. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kat Owens, from Women's Legal Education & Action Fund (LEAF) for her keynote address and Q&A session. As LEAF's Legal Director, Kat is especially qualified to share important information about this year's theme: "ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls."

As we heard closing words from poet Sarah Lewis, we were reminded of all of the incredible talented and impactful women here in our community. Thank you to all who came out to support this important event!

We look forward to moving our inspiration into action and to seeing you next year at International Women's Day!
